With a foundation in civil engineering, Mike guides Oates Associates’ engineers and project managers, builds teaming partnerships, and develops the firm’s local agency client base.  His technical expertise spans a broad range of transportation engineering disciplines, including roadway and drainage design, traffic operations, intersection and interchange layout, traffic studies, ADA compliant infrastructure, and utility coordination.  Mike is actively engaged in advancing the firm’s expertise through guidance on transportation-related challenges and opportunities, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement among the employee-owners of Oates Associates.
