The engineers at Oates Associates have been engrained in the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers (ISPE) for over 40 years. This continues with the installment of Bill Tindall, PE, PTOE as ISPE State President.  He was installed July 13, 2021 during the annual convention, which was virtual this year.  ISPE Past President and Oates Associates Senior Project Manager Jeff Rensing installed Bill as President.

Bill is a long supporter of the organization, serving in various roles at the local and state levels for over 10 years. As ISPE State President, Bill is responsible for providing guidance to 19 local regional chapters, supporting legislative business issues and advancing the practice of engineering.

Bill is a project manager for Oates Associates, focusing on transportation, drainage and traffic engineering for municipal and state clients. His project management capabilities and guidance he lends to the firm’s Transportation Group are fitting attributes for his new role as ISPE State President.

ISPE represents over 2,500 engineers and has served their needs for over 135 years. The organization supports initiatives that provide a voice for all engineers.

Congratulations on your new role, Bill!
