Engineering stretches beyond design and into advocacy and education with the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). Oates Associates is proud to be longstanding members of such an involved organization. Executive leadership at Oates Associates has held various board and committee level positions for ACEC National, ACEC Missouri and ACEC Illinois. Our support for the advancement of engineering continues as Joseph Hagerty, Chief Executive Officer at Oates Associates, has been elected as the 2018-2019 ACEC Missouri Chairman.
As Chairman, Joe will address key issues impacting engineering firms and support committees and educational programs to allow greater opportunities for professional firms. Joe has served on the board at varying levels for nearly ten years.
Joe has been with Oates Associates since 1991 and is responsible for providing overall firm leadership and direction and implementing the firm’s Strategic Plan. He has a strong presence in the AEC industry and will provide strategic thought into the advancement of engineering and guidance for ACEC Missouri’s mission.
With over 5,000 member firms nation-wide, ACEC is the voice of the engineering industry. ACEC Missouri represents firms across the state and strives to support member firms to advance their practice of consulting engineering, promote the image and effectiveness of ACEC Missouri to the public, and maintain a strong governmental affairs program.
