Sam Schlegl, EI, Associate Project Designer with Oates Associates, Inc., has earned his master’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), further expanding his engineering knowledge and supporting the firm’s building structural team.
Schlegl first joined Oates Associates as an intern before transitioning to a full-time role after earning his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from SIUE. While continuing to grow in his role at the firm, he pursued his master’s degree, building on his structural engineering foundation while applying that knowledge in his project work.
At Oates Associates, professional growth is supported through hands-on experience, training, mentorship, and continued learning. Earning his Master of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering reflects Schlegl’s continued development in his role on the firm’s building structural team.
