The Polar Plunge is a state-wide challenge presented by the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois that raises funds to provide programming and events for over 22,500 athletes with intellectual disabilities. As a Troy resident, Tom Cissell joined the Troy Police Department’s Polar Plunge team. Participants plunged into industrial dumpsters filled with ice cold water.
Congratulations to the 18 plungers, who raised over $4,500 for the Special Olympics!
