Harnett Street, Phase II

Harnett Street connects many schools, residences and businesses in the area. The reconstruction of the roadway improves traffic flow and provides accessible pedestrian facilities.

Improvements along Harnett Street consist of two segments that total over 1 mile – West Harnett Street, from North County Road to North 10^th Street and East Harnett Street, from North 6^th Street to Illinois Route 4.  The roadway was reconstructed to provide for two 13-foot wide traffic lanes, curb and gutter, storm sewer, and new sidewalks.

Oates Associates’ services included survey; design; public involvement; preparation of plans, specifications and bidding documents; and construction staking, testing and observation.
