Chesterfield Village Research Center Fall Protection

Monsanto is a leading agriculture company with roots in Missouri. Their Chesterfield Village Research Center houses their agriculture research and development team.  The campus boosts 1.5 million square feet with hundreds of laboratories, plant growth chambers and greenhouses.

The research and development team requires elaborate, and sometimes large, pieces of equipment. Oates Associates was contracted to provide structural engineering services for fall protection improvements at multiple buildings.  The goal is to provide safe access to equipment.  Oates Associates is inspecting measures they have in place and our team is designing improvements, including platform configurations, horizontal lifeline systems, handrails, etc.
