Oates has promoted Roshan Pokhrel, PE, PTOE, and Ryne Wirtjes, PE, to Associate Project Manager, recognizing their technical expertise and continued professional growth.
Pokhrel joined Oates Associates in 2021 and has extensive experience in transportation engineering, traffic operations, and roadway design. He has supported a variety of transportation projects, including traffic studies, intersection analyses, pedestrian improvements, and traffic signal design. Wirtjes has been an integral member of the firm since 2019. He has contributed to roadway, traffic signal, and transportation improvement projects for department of transportation and local agency clients throughout the region. Further, Wirtjes is active in the industry and currently services as the Vice President of the St. Clair County Chapter of the Engineering Society of Illinois. Their promotions reflect their technical expertise, dedication to project success, and growing leadership within the organization.
