With three decades of experience in transportation, Karen Geldert, PE adds further depth to our team of engineers as a senior project manager at Oates Associates, Inc. Karen is an established engineer and project manager with a deep understanding of infrastructure challenges and opportunities within local transportation networks. Oates Associates is a local civil and structural engineering firm committed to serving and improving our community. Karen’s local knowledge and engineering expertise was a natural fit as we continue to help communities and government agencies improve infrastructure.
Karen joins us having most recently served as a field engineer in local roads with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), District 8. From planning, programming and engineering through to administration, she has worked extensively with communities to enhance traffic flow, safety and connectivity.
