In commemoration of National Surveyors Week, Oates Associates takes pride in recognizing the land surveying profession by highlighting two of its outstanding employees for their involvement in the civil and structural engineering industry. We are proud to announce that Andy Mueller and Colton DeLong were recently recognized by the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association (IPLSA).
Andy has been an essential member of the Surveying and Drone Department at Oates for 13 years. His dedication and expertise have not only propelled the department forward but have also earned him the esteemed position of President of the Southwest Chapter of the IPLSA. As Oates’ survey coordinator and drone program manager, he has been pivotal in integrating innovative technologies with traditional surveying methods.
Colton DeLong joined the firm in January 2023 as an intern in the Surveying and Drone Department. His commitment to excellence was recognized by the IPLSA through a collegiate scholarship. Colton is attending Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a specialization in land surveying.
