Oates Associates is thrilled to introduce you to the newest additions to our growing team: Obaid Rahman, Abby Nissen, Eduardo Herrera, Adam Hark, Brandon Hamel and Breanna Frahm!

Obaid joins the team’s Transportation Group with 4 years of experience in the field. Previously, he interned at the Illinois Department of Transportation and assisted with the design of some major roadways and highways in the area for other engineering firms. He is a Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) graduate and the former vice president of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, SIUE Student Chapter.

Abby began her career in Iowa, where she graduated from Iowa State University and worked for an engineering firm on site development projects. She has office and field experience, including performing surveying and construction observation for roads and bridges. Abby joins Oates Associates in the Facilities Group where she will focus on site projects for municipal, recreational and commercial clients.

Eduardo, Adam, Brandon and Breanna are spring graduates that bring flexibility to the team as they grow their engineering knowledge with the firm.

Eduardo earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from SIUE and before that, earned an AutoCAD Civil certification and Associates in Engineering from Kaskaskia College. Adam graduated from Missouri University of Science & Technology and while studying, he interned for the City Utilities of Springfield, MO where he worked in natural gas and water engineering.

Brandon and Breanna began at Oates Associates as interns and transitioned to full-time upon graduation from SIUE. Brandon has supported Oates in the field and in the office by completing inventory work for stormwater facilities, sidewalks and roadways and assisting with design for transportation and building projects. Breanna has been supporting our Transportation Group, working on Illinois and Missouri Department of Transportation roadway and bridge projects.

We are looking forward to watching them grow at Oates Associates!
