The opening of the Harry Gallatin Golf Practice Facility was celebrated with a ribbon cutting at Sunset Hills Country Club. The facility is named in honor of Harry Gallatin, a legendary Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) coach and avid supporter of SIUE athletics. His vision to advance training opportunities for student-athletes has been realized with the new SIUE golf practice facility.
The 2,200 square foot indoor facility and driving range allows for practice year-round at a location close to the SIUE campus. Open to student-athletes and country club members, the facility includes three indoor hitting bays with doors that open to hit out into the driving range, a golf simulator and an indoor turf putting surface. Future phases include an outdoor synthetic turf putting surface.
