Oates Associates’ Facilities Group manager, Tom Cissell, PE, PTOE, LEED AP BD+C received the 2019 Outstanding Adjunct Award from the School of Engineering at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) during their annual awards banquet.
The SIUE School of Engineering hosts an annual banquet to celebrate excellence among students and faculty. The Outstanding Adjunct honors the exceptional performance of an adjunct instructor. Tom has served as an adjunct instructor since 2012, teaching “Transportation Planning” and “Municipal Infrastructure Design” classes.
Tom graduated from SIUE with his Master of Science in Civil Engineering. He has been with Oates Associates for 19 years and currently oversees the pursuit and completion of building and site projects. Tom is a strong leader and project manager known for his diligence and attentiveness – and he is very well deserving of the award.
