Yevgeniy (Gene) Kengovskiy was recently honored by the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) School of Engineering as an Outstanding Senior in the Department of Civil Engineering. Gene was presented with the award to celebrate his academic achievements, service and leadership.
Gene’s dedication to engineering is represented by his academic successes and extracurricular involvement. He graduated summa cum laude from SIUE in 2017. He was the 2017-18 Captain of the SIUE / ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) Steel Bridge Team, a member of the SIUE / ASCE Concrete Canoe Team and a member of Chi Epsilon – an honor society that promotes the status of civil engineering. Gene has participated in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) initiatives, including the MATHCOUNTS competition and 2016 Science and Engineering Research Challenge.
Gene joined Oates Associates in January of 2018 and supports the Transportation Group. He is detail oriented with experience in municipal engineering and construction management. Oates Associates is happy to have him on the team.
