Ehlmann Road is a two lane street that connects Harry S. Truman Boulevard and Zumbehl Road in St. Charles County. Varying lane widths and the lack of left turn lanes have contributed to traffic congestion. Safety is also an issue as the crests of hills on the roadway limit visibility for drivers.

To create a roadway that increases safety for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic, Oates Associates is designing roadway improvements. Proposed improvements include constructing new sidewalks, curb and gutter, retaining walls, widening lanes, adding turn lanes and re-profiling at crests.
